I am Swar Jalalabadi, lyricist and composer, dedicated to serve creativity in Hindi film songs. I embarked on my journey into the musical world of vintage songs several years back, and I have been lucky to have the support and co-operation of innumerable music loving people, who have supported my vision to propagate good music and have nurtured my dreams to retain the nostalgia of the bygone Golden Era of Indian Music. I thank all my well-wishers and friends!
Through Swar Sagarika Music Circle, I organise tributary programmes to all the legends of Hindi film music and the passion and love that people show for the songs of that era keep inspiring me to write good lyrics.
I have till date written more than 300 poems and songs and I am glad that many upcoming singers and music composers have liked them and have taken them as base for creating quality songs.
Being daughter of the legendary poet and Hindi film lyricist Qamar Jalalabadi, writing poetry and songs for Hindi films comes naturally to me. My source of inspiration has been my father who has inspired a generation of poets and song-writers in Hindi films. He belonged to an era when poetry was king and melody, its queen!
